Traumadoc Kalima!

Hi everyone!

Today I’m showing you a fast conversion I did when I decided to start collecting my second army for Infinity, the Acontecimento Shock Army. The first thing I allways do when starting a new army is trying to decide which color scheme use for the whole faction, and to do so I tend to paint first unimportant troops, so I can experiment with painting withouth too much risks.

A friend of mine sold me a box of troopers known as PanOceania Support Pack, including a Traumadoc medic, a Machinist engineer, and two Palbot servant robots, as he was not going to use them. The issue was that the Traumadoc came without the arm holding the pistol, as you can see in the picture below:

Anyway, being that this miniature is infamous because of being prone to kill his own teammates instead of healing them, I had a flash of inspiration about how to convert it, based in one of my favourite childhood movie: Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom!

The conversion process was really fast, just used a steel wire for the base of the arm, and a bit of green stuff allowed me to assemble a pose from the scene where Mola Ram rips out the heart of a poor fella:

¡Kalimaaaaaaaa! ¡KALIMAAAAAAA!

Once set, I only had to paint them to try the color scheme I had in mind:

The water effect on the bases was done using a 2 part glass glue. Easy and available at any hardware store!

And that way I finished my first troopers, threading carefully on the harsh environments of planet Acontecimento. Today’s post was shorter as it was not too much hard to make. Next week we’ll keep up with my Blood Bowl orcs and their third black orc blocker. Don’t miss it!

‘Till next time!
