Da Teeth Rippaz (Part 1): Ugloz Badblood, black orc blocker
A few weeks ago a friend of mine invited me for a game of Bloodbowl, a fantasy football game in Games Workshop’s Warhammer Fantasy setting. This is a game I’ve always wanted to play but never had the chance to.
After a test game with a Norse team that he lent me, I had the need to have my own team. However, being that my budget is not high enough to buy a new team for myself, I decided to convert some Warhammer Fantasy models that I had in my bits box. I might add that I’ve never played a Warhammer Fantasy game, but that never stoped me to purchase extra miniatures, just in case.
First I had my sights on a Chaos team, but I didn’t have enough models to assemble a team, so I tossed them. Then I looked for my dwarves, and then I realized that I only purchased two miniatures in my whole life, so those would’t do either. My Bretonians are all either horse riders or archers, so hardly could I do anything with them. But then, I stumbled uppon my huge cache of Orcs and Goblins from an old edition. My mind was set, I would play with an Orc team… Da Teeth Rippas!
Unfortunately I don’t have step by step pictures of the process, only the final result comparing an original black orc with my first black orc blocker, Ugloz Badblood:
The funny thing of converting orcs is that no matter how rough the surfaces get or how sloppy the cuts are, they all look great on them! After some extra peaces, this is the final result:
I hope to get all the black orcs done little by little, then I’ll focus on the blitzers, then the linemen, the thrower and finaly the goblin. Don’t miss this crazy team!
`Till nex time!
